Welcome to Year 4
4K and 4SO
We had a lovely morning learning our 6 times-tables with our parents. We played lots of games and completed activities that we could also play at home.
We also enjoyed showing our parents what we have been learning in our topics over the past term.
Please find attached, all of the games we played at our workshop. We focused on the 6 times-tables on the day, but we have edited these so you can practise all of the tables. Please feel free to edit these to any times table your child wants.
Spring 1 - Ancient Egyptians
Autumn 2 - Monsters
We analysed a wide variety of toys with multiple features. They moved on their own made noises, and lit up. We looked at the methods used to join the materials, such as sewing, gluing, and using velcro.
We completed product research through looking at toys already available on the current market. We looked in shop catalogues and used the ipads for internet research.
To collect our data, we asked our target audience (Year 1 children) to complete our surveys.
We explored the scientific equipment and tried to make our own circuits. Our challenge was to light a bulb, buzz a buzzer or spin a motor.
We discussed what a circuit was and we found that if there was a break in the circuit, it would not work
